‘Mother Nature’ Factors Into Fox Ridge Pre-Season Plans

(March 16, 2006) – FOX RIDGE SPEEDWAY owners Dave Hesch and Jeff Reglin have released an updated tentative schedule for the upcoming 2006 racing season. Due to recent weather developments, including two major snow systems which blew through the area this past week, added to plans for a reworking of the speedway surface (as detailed in a previous PRESS RELEASE – “FOX RIDGE SPEEDWAY OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE -- TRACK REDESIGN” – 3/7/06) the 2006 racing schedule has been altered.

“With the large amount of money racers spend on their race cars it is our responsibility to give them the best racing surface possible,” explained Hesch, “and opening before the track is ready would be an injustice on our part.

“Mother Nature has reared her ugly head again,” Hesch went on to explain, “and sitting here in another March Snow Storm, that we did not really want or need, we have to be realistic about our opening date for the 2006 season.”

Therefore, FOX RIDGE SPEEDWAY has slated Friday April 21st as the OFFICIAL SEASON OPENER to begin the action-packed 2006 season.

This year THE RIDGE and surrounding Western Wisconsin country side will thunder to the high-banked thrills of eight (8!) complete divisions throughout the year; including the ultimate in high-speed high-dollar racing – the WISSOTA Late Model class. Also making regular weekly appearances at the track will be USRA Modifieds, Officially WISSOTA Sanctioned Super Stocks, WISSOTA Midweat Modifieds and WISSOTA Street Stocks, as well as the fan-favorite 4-Cylinder Hornets!

Additionally, the USMTS Modified touring series will be making three $2000 to win visits to THE RIDGE (June 9th, July 14th and August 18th); while the incredible 2006 WORLD Dirt Racing League PolyDome Late Model Series will be bringing their show to FOX RIDGE SPEEDWAY on Wednesday August 9th for a $5000 to win special!

And, of course, no season would be complete at FOX RIDGE SPEEDWAY without the popular “FOX RIDGE FAMILY FUN NIGHT & NIGHT OF DESTRUCTION!!” which is scheduled for Saturday July 29 – a night of fun, excitement and, perhaps, even a little destruction!

And, if that’s not enough, Hesch is still working on several additional extremely ‘High Profile’ special events for the 2006 season.

So, as you can see, despite the March weather that ‘Mother Nature’ has provided, FOX RIDGE SPEEDWAY is gearing up for a full 2006 season complete with the ultimate in dirt-track racing action for fans of all types!
