Mother Nature Wins At Fox Ridge Speedway

ARCADIA, WI (August 19th, 2005) – Heavy rains all day Thursday through West
Central Wisconsin left the ground saturated – forcing the cancellation of
racing at Fox Ridge Speedway Friday night August 19th.
Racing will resume next Friday evening, August 26th with the “Season
Championships – Track Point Champions and Family Fun Night” presented by
Gold’N Plump.
In addition to all of the family friendly events scheduled (Kids Rides around
the track, A Sand Pile with hidden money, children’s hand-outs at the gate,
and other family friendly prizes during intermission) the “Season
Champions” will be crowned in all five divisions – additionally, the final
track points of the season will be awarded in all five divisions to finalize
the tight point battles and crown all five “Point Champions”.
Heading into next weeks season finale, the tightest points battle is in the
WISSOTA Super Stock Division where the top four competitors are separated by
just 20 points – the top three by only seven!

In the USRA Modified division, current point leader (and two-time defending
track Champion Karl Fenske) holds a slim 24-point lead over Arcadia driver
John Doelle!
In addition to these two tight point battles for division championships, there
are many other battles still to be decided for other positions in the point
standings in all five divisions! WISSOTA points will also be awarded for the
three WISSOTA sanctioned divisions at the track.
Grandstand gates will open at 5pm with hot laps scheduled for 7pm and the
first green flag at 7:30. All five regular divisions are scheduled to attack
‘The Big 3/8 Mile’ including the USRA Modifieds, WISSOTA Super Stocks,
WISSOTA Street Stocks, WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds, and the popular 4-Cylinder
Hornets.
