Rain Rules Sunday Night At Elko Speedway

(Elko, MN)  A lasting torrential downpour got the best of the racing program Sunday night at Elko Speedway.  The rain started just before qualifying for the ASA Jani-King Minnesota 300 Presented by Polaris Industries was to take place.  The rain continued for several hours forcing track officials to pull the plug on the scheduled races.  The grid for the ASA 300 will roll off via current point standings on Labor Day Monday afternoon at 2pm as scheduled.

Sunday’s races are rescheduled for Sunday, September 12.  The pit gates will open at 9am with qualifying at noon and racing at 1pm.  The third and final leg of the ACDelco Super Summer Series will feature twin 40-lap features, the Mid-American Stock car Series and the Mid-American Trucks will both take the green flag in 50-lap events.

Fans can get more information by calling Elko Speedway at 952-461-RACE (7223) or 800-479-3630.
