Rainy Conditions Win Again At Elko

Rain reigned supreme for the second time in four weeks at Elko Speedway, forcing cancellation of Twin Cities Featherlite Night at the Races.  A steady rain came after heat races were completed for the Coca-Cola Thunder Cars and the ACDelco Power Stocks.  

Heat wins for the Coca-Cola Thunder Cars went to Faribault's Matt Carlander, Montgomery's Dave Franek and Lakeville's Kevin Lutz.

ACDelco Power Stock heat wins were garnered by both Chase and Brock Weber of Apple Valley, Robert Clingingsmith of Lakeville and New Market's Chad Tuma.

Racing action will continue at Elko Speedway when the facility hosts the ever popular Steve Schneeberger- Edina Realty Kid's Night presented by Hot Tamales.  All kids twelve and under will be admitted free with a paid adult.  Along with a full schedule of NASCAR racing featuring the Budweiser Super Late Models, Elko Sportsmen, Coca-Cola Thunder Cars and ACDelco Power Stocks, there will be plenty of activities for all the kids.  Included in the program will be the Hot Tamales kid's candy scramble, Radio Disney Kid's ID's, reduced rate bike helmets from Opportunity Partners, kid's face painting and much more.  Adult tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the gate.  For more information, go to www.goelkospeedway.com or call the Speedway Box Office at 952-461-7223.
