February 25, 2003
by Gregg McKarns
Minneapolis, MN- Bob Fredrickson, owner of Fredrickson Enterprises announced
this week, that he purchased Tech-Chec, Inc., following a number of meetings
during Speedweeks in Daytona Beach, FL earlier this month.
Tech-Chec specializes in the sale of technical inspection equipment for auto
racing, including carburetor gauges, whistlers, cubic inch pumps, and other
crucial tools needed for a competitive field of cars. John Darby created
Tech-Chec sixteen years ago in Rockford, IL. Darby has since become better
known as the NASCAR Winston Cup Tour Director.
Fredrickson has a rich background in short track auto racing, including
serving as the NASCAR Race Director for their Midwest based tour. I
started as a car builder in the early eighties, and became the chief
technical inspector at the area short tracks by the late eighties. Stated
Fredrickson. Tech-Chec is a great opportunity for me to help the
industry. An industry Fredrickson knows quite well, as he was named RPM
Regional Promoter of the Year after the 1996 season while he was the
owner/operator of Elko Speedway (MN).
The services and products provided by Tech-Chec compliment the racetrack
consulting, rules creation and inspection guidelines that are already
offered by Fredrickson Enterprises. To learn more, contact Bob Fredrickson
by calling 952-461-2955 or faxing 952-461-4430. Fredrickson Enterprises is
