Short Track Action Racing Series Gets Underway April 21st

Beaver Dam, WI:   Saturday, April 21st will mark a new era in Wisconsin racing as the Short Track Action Racing Series makes it's debut at the Dodge County Fairgrounds in Beaver Dam, WI.   The series, founded in an effort to provide teams the opportunity to tour throughout Wisconsin, will provide fans the opportunity to witness teams compete that normally stay close to home tracks or run for points within a broader range of rules fostering greater competition and action.

Accompanying an increased payout in the A-Main ($1,000 to win), will be a rules package with no claims, flexible tire rules (durometer rating of 60 or higher – no specific brand), and a format that includes a series of match races dubbed the "FRAM Duels" which will pair the top eight in passing points from the heat races in one-on-one matchups to determine the FRAM Duel Winner.  That winner will receive a $100 bonus and determine the number of rows to be inverted for the A-Main.

Also appearing on the racing card with the Short Track Action Racing Series will be the IRA Outlaw Sprinters as their season also opens on April 21 st.  Pit gates will open at 1pm with hot laps scheduled for 4pm and racing at 5:30.  There will be a drivers meeting for all modified drivers at 3:30pm near the back stretch track opening.   Competitors must register ($10) in that same area prior to the drivers meeting and will draw for a starting position at the time of registration.  A passing points system will be utilized from the heat races with those transferring from the B-Main starting straight up.  For complete rules governing the Dodge County Short Track Action Racing Series shows on April 21st and April 28th, please visit our new website at www.starsseriesracing.com.     For track information, check out www.dodgecountyfairgrounds.com.
