Title Sponsors Announced for Gopher50 Charity Late Model Race

Spring Valley MN - Three area businesses have teamed up to create the most
powerful sponsorship package ever for the 26th Annual Gopher50 Charity Late
Model Race to be held at Deer Creek Speedway on June 6th.
Valley Transportation Inc. of Grand Meadow, Peterbilt of Winona and Premier
Banks of Rochester have joined forces to become the title sponsors of the
Gopher 50. The three businesses will be the title sponsors for both the
50 lap World of Outlaws Late Model event and the 30 lap USRA Modified
race. The $10,000 to win Late Model race is being sanctioned with the
World of Outlaws Late Model Series and will feature the Dirty Dozen consisting
of well known national drivers, Scott Bloomquist, Billy Moyer, Dan Schlieper,
Clint Smith, Dale McDowell, Tim McCreadie, Darrell Lanigan, Chub Frank, Steve
Francis, Rick Eckert, John Blankenship and Brian Birkhofer. These and
many local and additional national competitors are expected to be on hand for
this event. Many of the local modified stars will be on hand also to
compete for the USRA $1,000 to win 30 lap modified event.
Everyone is excited about the new venue for the 26th running of this
prestigious event. The event is being put on by both the Blooming
Prairie Lions and Deer Creek Speedway. Many improvements have been done
to the racetrack to hold this event and with the future in mind other
improvements are in the planning stages to make the Gopher 50 event a long
standing tradition and an event for everyone’s must see list.
