Deer Creek Speedway Continues Improvements In 2005

Improvements continue at Deer Creek Speedway for 2005.  A new bleacher section will be completed this spring to coincide with the new Suite/Deck building currently under construction.

Bleacher installation will occur on the northern half of the speedway with the old dirt mound and bleacher sections being removed in April and new seating installed.  New seating units will be elevated 36” from the previous grade level and will be handicap accessible.  A concrete pad will be poured under the new bleacher section.  The height, angle and elevation of the new bleachers will see changes from the previous version.  The new bleachers will be angled slightly to match the new Suite/Deck building currently being built.  Sixteen rows of seating will be built replacing the existing twelve rows and will butt against the new deck system on the front of the new building.  Height of the seating structure will be higher than the existing seating.

With the completed 190 foot long bleacher structure in place the seating will be increased from 1100 seats to 1700 seats on the northern end of the speedway.  Total seating capacity on the front stretch will now exceed 4,000 with the completion of the new grandstands and VIP Suite/Deck structure.

The 2004 WISSOTA Track of the Year continues in its tradition of improvements.  With two major improvements to the speedway this year and two first time events, Deer Creek Speedway is hard at work making the 2005 season exciting for everyone.  The first time visit by the World of Outlaw Late Models for the Gopher50 and the Bumper to Bumper IRA Sprint Cars in June to go along with our Saturday night racing.
