Cedar Lake Speedway Opener Set For April 6th & 7th

New Richmond, WI - The 50th year of racing at Cedar Lake Speedway is set to
begin on Thursday, April 5th and run through Saturday, April 7th. All
drivers are invited to get their race cars ready during practice on Thursday
evening from 6-9 p.m. Any type of race car is invited. Car entry
fee is $25. Friday and Saturday will feature full programs for Late
Models, Modifieds, Super Stocks, Street Stocks and Midwest Modifieds.
Make up dates will be April 12th, 13th & 14th.
The tire rule for the first weekend will be as follows:
Late models: Goodyear G50 only
Modifieds, and Super Stocks: Goodyear G60 (8” or 10” tire) or Hoosier
“H” on the RR an “A” on the other 3 corners.
Midwest Modified: Goodyear G60 8” tire or Hoosier “H” on the RR and
“A” on the other 3 corners.
Street stocks: Goodyear G60 (8” tire) or Hoosier Dirt or Super Dirt
Stocker
No DTRA national points will be awarded on opening weekend. Starting
with the first regular weekly show at CLS (scheduled for April 14th), all
drivers must comply with the DTRA rule of the Goodyear G60 for the Modifieds
and Super Stocks (10” or 8”) and the 8” only for Midwest Modifieds and
Street Stocks on all four corners.
Racing gets underway each night at 7:00 with driver cutoff at 6:15. For
