August 22, 2006, New Richmond, WI - Consistent with its mission of saving the drivers money and providing proper incentives to competitors, The Dirt Track Racing Association (DTRA) is thrilled to announce huge incentives for its inaugural end of season finale on September 13th – 16th at Cedar Lake Speedway.  In addition to the previously released format that will provide fans and drivers more excitement over the 4 day event, the following three financial components will ensure that Cedar Lake Speedway is the place to be for all of the areas best dirt track drivers.

The DTRA 100 will pay cash monies of over $105,000 over the 4 days – a 30% increase from the 2005 Wissota 100.

Drivers will receive FREE entry for their car compliments of Goodyear, Pepsi, Arnie Ranta Motorsports, Grand Casino Hinckley, New England Coffee, Semple Building Movers, Rick Gondik Law Office, Badger Excavating, Transport America, Greg Parent Motorsports, Sunoco, RaceMn.com and Amsoil.  This alone will result in total savings to the competitors of over $15,000!

Product incentives given away randomly to all drivers in attendance.  Drivers will be entered into a drawing to receive free chassis, race suits, and other racing products (exact prizes to be released shortly).

The DTRA 100 weekend will kick off Wednesday evening, September 13th, with a new class of car making its first appearance at Cedar Lake Speedway.  In addition to the traditional program of Street Stocks and Midwest Modifieds, Pure Stocks will be added to the race card.  Thursday, September 14th will present heat races for Super Stocks, Modifieds, and Late Models lined up by a pill draw.  Then, following heat race action, the top 18 drivers by way of passing points will be transferred to the nightly qualifying feature.  Positions 19th through 42nd in passing points will be placed in a nightly B-feature race.  The top 6 in the B-feature will transfer to the nightly qualifying feature.  Thursday’s A-mains will be 30 laps for late models, 25 for Modifieds and 20 for Super Stocks.  The top 8 finishers in Thursday’s qualifying feature will stack the inside 8 rows of the big dance on Saturday night.  Friday, September 15th, will again treat fans and drivers alike to another full program of heat races (lined up based on pill draw), a B-feature for drivers in 19th through 42nd, and a main event in each of the three classes.  Again, those finishing in the top 8 spots of the main event on Friday will qualify for the big dance on Saturday and will fill the outside 8 rows.  Saturday night, September 16th, will present an exciting night of features only with three B features in all three divisions to fill rows 9-11 of the main event (6 spots) as well as a last chance race for finishers 3rd through 8th in each B with the top 2 transferring to the main event.  Participants will accumulate passing points in their heat and qualifying features Thursday and Friday.  These points will line up the three B features on Saturday.  The last chance race will be straight up based on the driver’s finishing position in the B main.  The final races of the evening will be a 40 Lap Late Model race, 30 lap Modified race and 30 lap Super Stock event.  For additional details on the event, please see the “DTRA 100 FACT SHEET”at http://www.dtraracing.com/the100.aspx
