By Ron Bernhagen

April 28, 2006.  New Richmond, WI - Sprint car fans can add another sprint car show to their calendars as they will be in action on Jeff Gordon Night - Wednesday, June 28th at Cedar Lake Speedway.  The CLS 360 sprint cars will replace the DTRA super stocks and will share the show with the DTRA super late models and modifieds.

"Jeff Gordon spent a lot of time racing sprint cars before becoming a four-time NASCAR champion so we decided it was a natural to have them there that night to entertain the fans with their unique brand of racing," stated Steve Kaufman of CLS.  "Although Jeff will not be able to race that night, we have over 20 sprint car teams committed to being there so the fans will see an awesome show."  Pre-registered drivers from North and South Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin are Tony Hargrave, Al Hargrave, John Nelson, Joe Kouba, Joseph Kouba , Jimmy Kouba, Spike Lempelius, Dustin Lindquist, Tommy Kamrath, Bobby Rowson, Johnny Parsons, Chuck Swenson, Scott Winters, Allan Gilbertson, Brett Geldner, Leigh Thomas, Lee Grosz, Mike Sitzmann Jr., Kevin Nichol, Jerry Richert Jr., and Scott Broty

Additional sprint car teams are being contacted with the goal of 23 or 24 sprint cars in action that night.  Advance tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for kids age 6 to 16 (all seats are general admission for the June 28th event).  They are going fast so hurry and order them online at www.cedarlakespeedway.com or by calling 612-363-0479.
