Cedar Lake Opener Set For April 6th, 7th & 8th

February 25, 2006.  New Richmond, WI - The 49th year of racing at Cedar Lake Speedway is set to begin on Thursday, April 6th and run through Saturday, April 8th.  All drivers are invited to get their race cars ready during practice on Thursday evening from 6-9 p.m.  Any type of race car is invited.  Friday and Saturday will feature full programs for DTRA late models, modifieds, super stocks, street stocks and Midwest modifieds.

The tire rule for the first weekend only will be as follows: 
Late models: Goodyear G50 only 

Modifieds, super stocks, Midwest modifieds: Goodyear G60 or Hoosier C (Dirt Bozz) LF, LR and RF only and Hoosier H (Hard Bozz) RR only 

Street stocks:  Goodyear G60 or Hoosier 7" tire 

No DTRA national points will be awarded on opening weekend.  Starting with the first regular weekly show at CLS (scheduled for April 15th), all drivers must comply with the DTRA rule of the Goodyear G60 for the modifieds, super stocks, midwest modifieds and street stocks on all four corners.
