Cedar Lake Speedway Late Models To Run Goodyear Tires AGAIN In 2006

August 31, 2005; New Richmond, WI.  Following a complete year of running Goodyear tires, the late model drivers at Cedar Lake Speedway unanimously voted to run Goodyear Tires again in 2006.  Cedar Lake held a meeting on Saturday, August 20th with the 27 late model drivers that were in attendance that evening.

Among other positive feedback from many drivers, Cedar Lake’s champion Pat Doar was proud to say, “I used a total of 8 tires this year to win the championship”.  Numerous other drivers used even less.  Further, drivers complimented Cedar Lake and Goodyear for providing a tire that was extremely competitive and saved hundreds of hours grooving and sipping.  Cedar Lake Speedway made the switch to Goodyear tires for numerous reasons, but mostly to reduce the costs to its Late Model drivers in hopes of keeping more of them coming to the Speedway and providing quality racing.  The Speedway couldn’t be happier with the results.  The average car count for weekly racing in 2005 was 27 cars compared to 25 in 2004.  An increase of 10% in a time period when Late Model counts are down overall.  Drivers stated that the switch saved them tens of thousands of dollars.  John and Ashley Anderson summed up their feelings about the Goodyear Tires by saying, “we are tickled pink”.

In addition to CLS Super Late Models, Cedar Lake Speedway intends to run Wissota sanctioned Modifieds, Super Stocks, Street Stocks, and Midwest Modifieds on a weekly basis and is looking forward to the best race season ever in 2006.  For more info on the Speedway, please visit us online at www.cedarlakespeedway.com or call toll-free 866-4-CLSFUN.
