OUTLAW 410 Sprints Gearing Up For Cedar Lake Speedway
By Ron Bernhagen
August 28, 2005. New Richmond, WI. The 3rd Annual IRA/Knoxville/NOSA
410 Sprint Car Challenge is quickly approaching on Saturday night, September
10, at Cedar Lake Speedway. This unique event brings two sanctioning
bodies together (Interstate Racing Association from Illinois and the Northern
Outlaw Sprint Association out of Grand Forks, North Dakota) and all the stars
from Knoxville Raceway to do battle on the high-banked, 3/8-mile oval.
This night will also be the 4th Annual Jerry Richert Memorial in honor of the
four-time IMCA champion and the winner of the 1962 Knoxville Nationals.
"The sprint car challenge is a one-of-a-kind show," stated Bob
Kaufman of Cedar Lake Speedway. "It doesn't get any better than
this show for sprint car diehards." Last year, 46 sprint cars
competed in what turned out to be an action-packed night of
racing.
A full show of Wissota Midwest Modifieds will also be on the program for
September 10th bringing us a great evening of entertainment. Tickets are
only $20 for adults; $12 for students, and $7 for kids age 6-12 (5 and under
are free). All tickets are sold at the gate, day of the event
only. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis and everybody that
attends the event is guaranteed a seat. Grandstands open at 4:00 with
racing to begin at 7:00. For more info, visit www.cedarlakespeedway.com
