Aho Takes Super Stock Win At Cedar Lake
Modifieds and Late Models to be completed on May 1st

Ryan Aho spoiled Lyle Archambeault's coming out party as he made a late race pass to grab the win in the 15 lap Wissota super stock feature Saturday night at the Cedar Lake Speedway.

Archambeault grabbed the lead from first lap leader Kelly Anderson as Tony Gates, Aho, and points leader Dale Gangl fought for position behind them.

A spin on lap three bunched the field, on the restart Archambeault held the advantage as Gangl and Aho dispatched of Anderson and Gates by lap seven.

Archambeault was then pressured by the two super stock for the next three laps as Aho and Gangl each searched for an opening

A slight bobble by Archambeault was all the opening Aho and Gangl needed as the two slipped by on lap 10. Aho and Gangl battled for the next laps until the caution was dropped for a spinning Steve Hucovski.

Aho was then able to keep Gangl at bay over the last four laps of the feature.  Brandon Jensen powered by Archambeault on lap 14 to collect third.  Archambeault and Kelly Anderson completed the top five.

Dan Gullickson made it two on a row on the street stock class by holding off a late race challenge from Ron Hanestad.

The feature started with Jim Gullickson grabbing the lead with brother Dan in tow.  The two battled it out for the lead with Rod DeBerneaux, Chris Peterson, and Charlie Novak dueling behind them.

Dan Gullickson charged past brother Jim on lap seven.  Hanestad and Chris Gullickson methodically moved their way through the field into the top five at this point.

Melvin Raska's spin slowed the field, at this time Jim Gullickson's racer lost power, moving Peterson and Hanestad into position behind Gullickson.

Gullickson was able to hold off the advances of Hanestad and Peterson over the remainder of the event to grab his second straight win and fourth of the young season.  Roger Fisk made a late move to pass Chris Gullickson to gather fourth with Chris Gullickson placing fifth.

Racing action in the modified feature was halted when showers advanced on the track leaving conditions to wet to continue.

Jason Miller led Craig Thatcher when the yellow was waved for the slick surface.  Eric Pember, Jamie Lemke, and Dave Cain completed the top five. The modified feature will resume next week.  Racing action will resume next week with the completion of the modified and late model features.
