Weather Nixes Fireman's Nationals

Sun Prairie, Wis., Sept. 4--Continuing rain, wet grounds and threatening weather have forced cancellation of the 25th annual Fireman's Nationals presented by Pepsi, Badger Midget Series event Monday evening Sept. 4 at Angell Park Speedway. 

The event will not be rescheduled, and marks the first time weather related conditions have affected the event. The Badger Midget Series season concludes on Saturday Sept. 9 with "Round four of Duel at the Dam" at The Raceway at Powercom Park (Beaver Dam, Wis.). The 30-lap feature, will pay $3,000 to win. Also appearing during the evening's events will be the track's modified division and the INEX Legend Car Series.
