Badger Midgets Invade Powercom Park

Beaver Dam, Wis., May 6 - Brad Kuhn turned in a record setting performance,
capturing the 25-lap Badger Midget Series Feature, Saturday Night at The
Raceway at Powercom Park. Kuhn's victory moved him into the series point lead.
Kuhn also set a 25-lap track record with his victory.
Chad DeSelle paced the opening lap before Davey Ray moved into the lead
closely followed by Ryan Durst. Durst challenged Ray for the lead several
times in the first five laps. Kuhn who started tenth in the event moved into
the fifth place on the eighth lap.
Kuhn's big move came on the 11th lap when he pulled off a two-car pass on
Durst and Mike Hess to move into second place. Kuhn quickly cut into Ray's
lead. The pair exchanged slide jobs for the lead twice on lap 14 before Kuhn
moved into the lead one lap later exiting turn two.
Kuhn began increasing his lead each lap over Ray, as a great four-car battle
for runner-up honors took place behind Kuhn. Hess moved into second place with
less than two laps remaining. Kuhn driving the Kuhn Motorsports Stealth/Mopar
finished 1.37 seconds ahead of Hess at the finish. Durst, Ray and Missouri's
Brad Loyet completed the top five. All 22 starting cars finished the entire
distance on the lead lap.
The series will continue on Sunday May 21 with a 50-lap event at Angell Park
Speedway (Sun Prairie, Wis.).
