Ray Blitzes Badger Pecatonica Field
By Bryan Gapinski Pecatonica, Il,
July 12---Davey Ray easily outdistanced the field to win the 20-lap Badger

win allowed Ray to regain the series point lead. On the opening lap Chad
DeSelle, who entered the evening as the point leader stopped bringing out the
caution. DeSelle retired from the event. Brandon Waelti paced the intinal
three circuits, while Ray quickly moved up to third place. Mike Hess passed
Waelti for the lead, one lap later Ray moved into second.
The pair pulled

for the lead. At the midway point Ray began lapping the tail of the field,
and increasing his advantage over Hess each lap. Ray stretched his lead to
6.83 seconds at the finish over Hess. Waelti, Brad Kuhn, and Quinn McCabe
rounded out the top five.
Rick Mueller escaped injury in a practice flip,
