Adlers Do Father-Son Day

Scott and Joey Adler have been putting on the Father-Son show all season long,
and today was no exception. Scott has been virtually untouchable all
year long in Sr. Sportsman Heavy, taking every feature win by ten-seconds or
more. However, son Joey has had his hands full of Patrick Olsen in Jr. SSX
Can. Although Joey has managed to get the upper hand in most cases, it hasn't
been due to a lack of effort on Olsen's part. The two consistently break away
from the pack and put on their own two-man show. This week Joey managed to
grab the point for the feature and ran a perfect race, keeping Patrick at bay
for his fourth feature win of the year.
One of the best races of the day was Briggs Animal Jr. where Steven
Wirtz and Gavin Hallman put on a great show. The two swapped first place (and
some paint!) in the feature several times. On the last lap, Wirtz managed to
muscle his way past Hallman in the left-hand hairpin and keep the lead for
good.
Although not a competition class, the Kid Karts put on a great show each week.
This week, Mitchell Yurmanovich, Zach Sullivan and Kyle Coats seemed to have
the field covered, lapping most competitors during each heat race. This class
is designed for five to eight year old kids, running 50cc Comer motors on
smaller-sized chassis. Although only in existence for around 10 years,
most of Badger's younger champions have started in this class.
This week's monsters who demolished their fields were Ryan Graham in HPV
Heavy, Mike Fuchs in Yamaha Heavy, Ryan Rutzinski in Yamaha Lite, Robby
Mueller in Briggs Animal Jr and Kevin Bowler in 2-cycle Jr. Sportsman.
