BKC/Briggs And Stratton Charity Races

Badger Kart Club is proud to announce the addition of the Briggs and Stratton Charity race to the 30th Annual Road America Supernationals. Sponsored by Briggs and Stratton, this special race will be held after practice on Friday, June 10th. All proceeds will be to benefit Badger Kart Club's Howard Memorial Scholarship Fund.  Every entrant will receive a special commemorative medallion. Fair warning to the winner of this race - rumor has it that you had better bring two people to help carry home the crystal trophy!

Named after one of Badger Kart Club's original founder, Bob Howard, late husband of WKA Hall of Fame member Shirley Howard,  the scholarship fund gives away several scholarships each year to karters for their continued education.  These karters were selected among the many who submitted essays to the Badger Board of Directors in hope of being chosen. Qualities not only include their karting experience, but their contribution to the club and to karting as a whole.

On Saturday, July 16th, Briggs and Stratton will team up with Badger Kart Club again to hold a benefit 8-hour endurance race. Entry fee will be $500 and will include a brand new Briggs and Stratton Animal motor in the box! Again, all proceeds will go directly to the Howard Memorial Scholarship Fund to help our young karters to grow after high school. The race will be held at Badger Raceway in Dousman, WI (20 minutes west of Milwaukee).

The Badger Kart Club is not new to helping out others. This year they raised $5000 for the Keith Tiffany Fund and two years prior, raised $11,500 for the Brannam family to aid in their family loss.  For more information about the Badger Kart Club, visit the on the web at www.badgerkartclub.com  or call 414-328-8903..  For more information about Briggs and Stratton racing, visit them online at http://briggsracing.com
