Badger Kart Club has announced that they will run a BKC Bridgestone Tire Championship points race at Blackhawk Farms the weekend of July 12-13. Running in conjunction with the Championship Enduro Series, both organizations will share the track running practices in the morning and races in the afternoon on both days. Blackhawk Farms is a scenic 1.95 mile track located directly west of Beloit Wisconsin just below the Wisconsin-Illinois border. Opened in 1967, the track has hosted an array of racing events from SCCA cars, to motorcycles to karts. The track was repaved this past fall and its new smooth surface should make for an excellent kart-racing track again.

Badger Kart Club members who will be racing for points will be required to follow all of the Badger Kart Club rules regarding bodywork, clutches, chassis dimensions, etc… Badger president Bingo Emmons was excited about the opportunity. “Badger Kart Club used to hold points races away from Dousman plenty of times in the past. We tried it again last year on the sprint track at Road America and it was a huge success. This year we had an opportunity to race at Blackhawk so we polled the members and they overwhelmingly agreed to race there.”

The tentative schedule is to hold practices both mornings and run the enduro races on Saturday afternoon and the BKC Bridgestone Tire Championship points race on Sunday afternoon. For more information about this event, call Bingo Emmons at 414-425-0400 or click on www.badgerkartclub.com
