Reinwald Takes Mod Win At Powercom Park

Russ Reinwald of Iron Ridge moved up from the fifth row to take over the lead
on lap four and went onto score his third win of the season in the 20-lap
Johnsonville Brats Modifieds A-Main on Coca-Cola Night at the Races at The
Raceway at Powercom Park on Saturday night. B.G. Wood of Kenosha ran strong to
record his best finish of the season crossing the line in second. Steve
Mueller of Mukwonago had an impressive drive as he came from the eighth row to
take third. Jason Enoch of Hartford led early in the event and drove to
fourth. Eddie Lemay Jr. of Milwaukee was fifth.
Don Sorce Jr. of West Allis captured his third win of the season in the 20-lap
Northwoods Paper Converting Grand Nationals A-Main. The win enabled Sorce to
move into a tie for the lead in the point standings with Roger Lee of Wind
Lake. Steve Seitz of Beaver Dam drove to second ahead of Roger Lee. Andy
Bolstad of Montello, who led a couple of laps early in the event, drove to
fourth. Tommy Moore of Muskego was fifth.
In the Dodge Central Credit Union Stocks 20-lap A-Main, Chuck Hummelmeier of
Friesland slipped past Dan Troyan of Menomonie Falls on lap eight to take over
the lead. Hummelmeier remained out front the rest of the way as he scored his
fifth win of the season. Jerry Winkler of Oshkosh came from the sixth row to
finish in second. Dan Troyan followed in third. Don Vander Galien of Wautoma
drove to fourth ahead of point leader Matt Bedker of Beaver Dam.
The Gibbsville Cheese INEX Legends/Wisconsin Legends Racing Dirt Series 20-lap
A-Main featured a duel between Brad Weber of Rolling Prairie and Joel
Wyttenbach of Sauk City. However, with one lap to go Weber slowed with
problems and Wyttenbach went onto score his sixth win of the season. Eric
Barth of Sauk City ran right with Weber and Wyttenbach and finished in the
second position. Warren Ropp of Kalona, IA moved up to take third. Bethany
Wyttenbach of Plain ran well and finished in fourth. Kevin Brill of Oostburg
came from the sixth row to finish in fifth.
Matthew Janke of Mequon picked up his second win of the season in the
Wally’s Auto Dirt Devils A-Main. Aaron Stolp of West Allis followed in
second. Early race leader Kevin Schutz of Madison was third. Andy Sullivan of
Horicon drove to fourth ahead of Shawn Klapps Jr. of Mauston.
Modified B-Main wins were recorded by Mike Sandholm of Oconomowoc, Craig
Priewe of Beaver Dam, and Dennis Krause of Oconomowoc.
Modified heat race wins were registered by Jason Enoch, Andy Voigt of Beaver
Dam, Russ Reinwald, Jeremy Christians of Horicon, Rob Schmid of Burnett, and
Matt Rechek of Beaver Dam. Grand National heat race wins went to Don Sorce Jr.
and Roger Lee. The Stocks division heat race wins were recorded by Jerry
Winkler, Brent Lepple of Beaver Dam, and Chuck Hummelmeier. The Legends heat
race action saw Brad Weber and Greg Hartlaub of Sheboygan Falls drive to
victories. Dirt Devils heats were won by Aaron Stolp, Andy Sullivan and Kevin
Schutz.
In the special first annual “Pastors Dash” sponsored by Inter-Quest
Technologies, six pastors from six different congregations took to the track
for a ten-lap shoot out. In an impressive duel up front for the win, The Rev.
Doug Psneicka of Amazing Grace Community Church in Horicon edged out the Rev.
Steve Dassow. The Rev. Mark Molldrem of First Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam
drove to third. Pastor Dennis Bratz of St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church in
Mayville followed in fourth ahead of Pastor Bob Castro of St. John’s
Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam and Pastor Jack Harrison of Grace Presbyterian
Church in Beaver Dam.
