Legends Of Racing At Powercom Park

Saturday May 27 will be Legends of Racing and Fan Appreciation Night.  Experience the golden age of racing and participate with the prospective legends of tomorrow.  Meet and Greet your favorite drivers from the past and present. Bring your favorite pictures or memorabilia for autographs and sharing.

Drivers and race cars from the past and present will be displayed starting at 2:00 p.m. and will be available for viewing until 4:00 p.m.

Drivers participating at the Raceway at Powercom Park are strongly encouraged to attend and meet the fans who patronize their weekly programs.

Legends of Racing to date are Gene Erdmann, Homer Ansel, Norm Giese, Brian Jaeger, Ken Markwardt, Mike Melius, Miles “the Mouse” Melius, Dick Colburn, Jerry O'Day, Aaron “Snagglepuss”  Solsrud, Hermie Stern, Kenny “Tweetie Bird” Tlougan's wife Arlene, Billy “the cat” Johnson’s wife Natalie and several others. 

Special trophies depicting this special event will be awarded to all A-Main winners, along with several other surprises for drivers and fans.

Vintage Cars from the past will also be on displayed to include; John Surges-#8 Paul Feldner car, Bob Surges-#86 Lee Weber sedan, M.J. Both-#A3 Johnnie Reimer sedan,bDan Kopshe-#1 sedan, Bill Foth-#7Jr. George Giesen coupe, Ken Hoerig-#5 Wayne Erickson coupe, Dan Erikson-#60 Pop Kline Super modified, Dan Muth-#25 Roger Schmitz Super Mod, Tim Dessereau-#K9 Billy Johnson coupe, Brian Jeager- #2 Miles Melius sedan, Etchie Biertzer’s car and Bob Ensweiler’s- #8 Miles Melius coupe.  Join us for a reflection of racing from the past, and experience the legends of tomorrow.
