Powercom Club Card To Offer Admission Discount At Speed Zone, Raceway
March 12, 2004
BEAVER DAM, WI – The Powercom Corporation and Wisconsin Motorsports, Inc.,
have come to terms on the all-new Powercom Club Card, a promotion that will
save drivers, crewmembers, and fans of the Powercom Speed Zone and The Raceway
at Powercom Park money each time they visit either track.
Any adult may purchase a Powercom Club Card for $25.00 from Wisconsin
Motorsports & Entertainment LLC. Throughout the 2004 season that
card will entitle the holder to $2.00 off either a general admission ticket or
a pit pass. The offer will be good at both tracks and will be granted at
all events promoted by Wisconsin Motorsports & Entertainment LLC, to
include the special events. There will be no limit on the number of
times the card is used during the coming season.
“Return business is top priority for us here at Wisconsin Motorsports,”
said the group’s General Manager Rex Melius. “If you get them to
come out once and do things right you hope that they will come back
again. By offering this type of deal it will save the return customer
money in a matter of no time, especially those that like to travel between the
two tracks.
“It’s not really a big deal, so to speak. It’s basically $2.00 off
the cost to get into the track. It does make a family night at either
one of our tracks a little cheaper in the long run and that is also geared at
where we are trying to be.”
As an added bonus cardholders will be entitled to several giveaways upon
purchase including a T-shirt and some gift certificates for other products
from companies currently within Wisconsin Motorsports’ corporate family.
“What we are doing is trying to build on the fan base for all shows.
The Powercom Club Card can do that. The added incentives like the shirts
are just another way to get the word out to people. I like the program
and everything about it. And, it has a lot more potential than just the
basics that we have outlined so far,” Melius said.
The Powercom Corporation is a leader in telecommunications throughout much of
Wisconsin. Since 1985, Powercom has been providing powerful
communication services. In 1988, Governor Tommy Thompson awarded Powercom the
"Certificate of Recognition"--an honor given to growing small
businesses that exemplify the spirit of entrepreneurship in Wisconsin.
“This is just another step in the partnership between Powercom and Wisconsin
Motorsports,” said Melius. “Both tracks and Wisconsin Motorsports
have grown because of Powercom. Now the people that come out to the
races can be part of that growth through this new Powercom Club program.”
The Raceway at Powercom Park is set to open on Saturday afternoon, April 24th
with the USAC National Midget-Sprint Car doubleheader followed the next week
with the track’s 2004 regular season opener, the Karavan Trailers Ice
Breaker. The Powercom Speed Zone will swing its gates open on Tuesday
night, May 4th with that track’s Karavan Trailers season opener.
The Raceway at Powercom Park is located just off of Highway 33 and Highway 151
in Beaver Dam. The Speed Zone is just south of Highway 41 on Highway 76
near Oshkosh. For more information contact Wisconsin Motorsports at
