Carlson To Make First ASL Start At MIS

OREGON, WI -- Steve Carlson, many-time NASCAR Touring Series and ARTGO Late Model champion, will make his first start in the new American StockCar League (ASL) Saturday night, June 18 at Madison International Speedway in Oregon, WI.

Practice begins at 2 p.m. on the half-mile paved oval followed by qualifying at 5 p.m., autographs at 6 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m.  A 150-lap ASL feature and 30-lap Mid-Am Super Truck feature headline the racing event.

Carlson will also race in the Friday night, June 17 Midwest AllStar Racing Series (MARS) 100-lap feature at MIS.  He is the current MARS point leader.

Other drivers who will be making their first ASL start from the early entry list are Ronnie Hawley of Winona, MN, Dan Lensing of Rockton, IL, and Hal Collins of Fort Worth, TX.
