Hales Corners, Wisconsin (03/28/2007): In recent years racing at all levels has gone hi-tech. J.T. Racing is made up entirely of engineering students from the University of Marquette and has released a part time schedule for driver Jason Taghikhani this season in the ASA Late Model Series.

This year Taghikhani is also teaming up with the Patriot Guard Riders. “The real heroes in this world are our brave men and women overseas and we are proud to stand with the Patriot Guard who stands up for them every day,” said Jason.

Patriot Guard logos adorned his car at the Greater Milwaukee Auto Show in this winter and they will be along for the ride as an associate sponsor all year. Jason will make his 2007 debut at the Music City Motorplex on March 31st in the Music City Spring Clash 200.

Meet Jason Taghikhani: This twenty-four year old from Hales Corners, Wisconsin has raced at some of the toughest short tracks in the Badger State including Lake Geneva, Madison International, and Slinger Speedway.

Nicknamed “T-Rex” by the gang at Sparky’s Final Inspection on Milwaukee radio station WSSP last season, Jason will compete on a part-time schedule on the ASA Late Model Series again this year including stops in the Northern, Southern, and Challenge Divisions. The President of the Society of Automotive Engineers at Marquette, Jason’s team is made up entirely of engineering students from Marquette University.

About Nashville’s Music City Motorplex: The date was June 11, 1904. A parade was held from downtown Nashville all the way out to a site that later came to be known as “The Fairgrounds”. The stars of the parade were automobiles intended for competition in the first-ever organized race in Nashville.

The track, cars, and drivers have changed over the many years since then but the track now known as the Music City Motorplex has witnessed the exploits of some of the greatest drivers in NASCAR history!
