Terry’s Ford Inks Sponsorship Deal With T.K. Racing And Eddie Hoffman

Wheaton, Illinois (03/24/2007): Wheaton, Illinois veteran, Eddie Hoffman, the Perennial favorite to win the Music City Spring Clash at the Music City (TN) Motorplex in Nashville, Tennessee on Saturday March 31, 2007 and his team; T.K. Racing has signed a Two-Year Sponsorship Agreement with Terry’s Ford of Peotone, Illinois.

The Terry’s Ford logo will proudly be displayed on the T.K. Racing Ford Fusion beginning this weekend in Music City. The sponsorship was agreed upon by principal owner of Terry’s Ford, Terry Kunes and T.K. Racing Owner, Tom Kmak.

Kmak is excited about the opportunity to work with Kunes. “I’ve known Terry for a long time, and if there’s anything to know it’s that when he gets involved in something he does it at 100%.” Stated Kmak soon after agreeing to the sponsorship deal.

Terry Kunes owns multiple businesses including Terry’s Lincoln Mercury in Orland Park, Illinois. Terry’s RV Center in Frankfort, Illinois. Hearthside Homebuilders in Homer Glen, Illinois and the Madison International Speedway in Oregon, Wisconsin.

The Speedway was Kunes’ return to the racing world as he was formerly known in the local racing circles for being the driver of car #71 at Raceway Park in Blue Island, Illinois. Kunes has a modified Ford Mustang to meet the qualities he feels are important in a car on his namesake Mustang TKO, a 500+ Horsepower vehicle custom built and tuned by D.I.D. Race Engineering Inc.

Kunes stated; “He (Tom Kmak) offered me the chance to get involved locally with the racing world again. I have full confidence in his ability to run a race team with great success.” 

Tom Kmak owns his chief sponsor Lisa Thomas Salon with locations in Orland Park and Tinley Park, Illinois with his wife Lisa. He has owned T.K. Racing since 1989 and is a familiar face in the ASALMS as the Car Owner of the familiar Red #8 driven by “Fast” Eddie Hoffman. 

For the remainder of the 2007 season, Hoffman and the T.K. Racing Team plan an all out assault on the 2007 ASALMS Challenge Division Championship and is widely regarded as a pre season favorite to win the Challenge Division title! In addition, Hoffman will also make select appearances in the ASALMS Northern Division.

The 2006 ASALMS Challenge Division GM Performance Parts Shootout Champion. Hoffman won Three Features during the 2006 Challenge Division season with two coming in non-points affairs. His lone points Feature Win was during the 2006 season opener at the Music City (TN) Motorplex on March 18, 2006.

His two other feature wins were in non-points shows including one back at Music City on November 5, 2006 in the All-American 200. The 46-year-old also won Day Two of the Mason-Dixon/Dixieland Challenge during the indoors event at the DeVos (MI) Place. Overall, he collected Seven Top Fives and 10 Top 10 finishes and won One GM Performance Parts Shootout at the Oswego (NY) Speedway to finish third in the final overall points standings.

Hoffman also competed part-time in the ASALMS Northern Division and picked up Two Feature Wins with both of those coming back to back. The first was in the rain shortened Lake Geneva 100 at the Lake Geneva (WI) Raceway on May 20, 2006 and then nine days later on Memorial Day Monday, May 29, 2006, he won the 8th annual George Appleton Memorial 125 Presented by Rod Baker Ford and WRXQ 100.7fm at the Grundy County (IL) Speedway. Overall he grabbed Three Top Fives, Three Top 10s, and One Fast Qualifier Award (LaCrosse).

For the 2007 season, Hoffman will steer a Ford Fusion and carry sponsorship on the side of his familiar Red #8 from; Lisa Thomas Salon as well as Terry's Ford, M.R. Lee Building Materials, Renegade Custom Coaches and Trailers, Appleton Rack and Pinion, Quantum Graphics, Eece Oil, Advanced Energy, and T.K. Racing.
