Division, it’s far to early to look ahead at crowning of each divisions
respective champions.
But looking deeper into the respective 2006 schedules for the three ASALMS
divisions, one event stands out amongst the rest and is widely considered one
of the premiere end of the season special events in the country.
The 37th Oktoberfest weekend at the LaCrosse (WI) Fairgrounds Speedway in West
Salem, Wisconsin is set for October 5-8. In all, 15 different divisions of
cars and trucks will invade the LaCrosse/West Salem, Wisconsin area over the

Championships will be taking center stage on Saturday October 7th for the
running of the 2nd annual Oktoberfest 100.

with a pass on 2005 ASA Late Model Series Champion, Stephen Leicht with 28

driver would go on to win two more features during the 2005 Oktoberfest
weekend!

Stated Chuck Deery of the LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway. “The Oktoberfest
fans are in for a treat as the ASALMS tour will combine local racing talent
with racing talent from across the nation. This is a great formula for some
hard charging racing, especially on the long and fast LaCrosse oval.” Added
Deery.

Every Saturday night, the 5/8th mile has three grooves of racing and is used
weekly by the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series Late Models, Sportsman and
Thunderstox. Plus once a month, Hornets (4 cylinder) and Tuners (6 cylinder)
divisions compete as well.
