ASALM At I-94 Raceway Cancelled For 2005
ASA Late Model Series Will Return In 2006
By Matt Prieur-ASA Late Model Series
(Lexington, Michigan 09/08/05): The Minnesota Labor Day 100 that was rained
out at the I-94 (MN) Raceway on Monday, September 5th will not be made up. The
race was tentatively rescheduled for September 17th, but after further review
by the track owner, Tim Olson and the ASALM Series, a determination was made
not to reschedule the event for the 2005 season.
The ASALM Series will return to the facility in 2006 and the series is very
appreciative of Tim Olsen for trying to work with the series to reschedule a
date yet this season.
Teams that have any questions about refund policies need to contact the ASA
Late Model Series Office for details.
Also of note, the two throw out races of the season will now be the Mansfield
(OH) Speedway and I-94 (MN) Raceway rain outs! However, teams that showed up
at either event will still receive their five show up points.
The ASA Late Model Series returns to action this Sunday September 11th with
the third and final appearance at the Baer Field (IN) Speedway in Fort Wayne,
Indiana for the 9/11 Tribute 100. The USA Modifieds Series will be joining the
ASALM Series as well as the Baer Field Shootout for the tracks regular four
divisions of Late Model Sportsmen, Modifieds, Street Stocks, and Mini Stocks.
