Summer Bummer At I-94 Raceway

(SAUK CENTRE, MN) June 21st--On the first day of Summer, everyone was geared up for another night of racing at the I-94 Raceway in Sauk Centre. Early afternoon temperatures were well into the 80’s and there was a brisk wind, but everything seem ago until qualifying time. Then, a slight drizzle turned into a downpour with a little thunder and lightening as well, forcing race officials to pull the plug for the night. This was the first time in almost two years that a race program has met with a soggy end at the I-94 Raceway.
Racing will resume on Saturday June 28th with ASA Late Models, Modifieds, Super Stocks, Great North Legends, Thunder Cars, UCARs and TQ Stock Cars in action. Gates open at 5:30, with Time Trials scheduled for 6:00, followed by racing at 7:00.
