Legendary TNN Race Announcers To Cover ASA event at WIR

(KAUKAUNA, WI) - Known for his record-setting speed during his 34 year Winston Cup career, Motorsports Hall of Famer Buddy "Leadfoot" Baker will be announcing the Oneida Bingo & Casino ASA 300 to be broadcast LIVE on TNN Sunday, June 9 at Wisconsin International Raceway in Kaukauna, WI. Joining him is Wisconsin veteran motorsports broadcaster Jim Tretow, the lead pit reporter for all 20 ASA races scheduled this year. The TNN announcing team is well known for being accessible to race fans that attend ASA events. Its all part of Oneida Bingo & Casino's Rev It Up Weekend scheduled for the second weekend in June.

Both Baker and Tretow have a long list of `firsts' credited to their name. Buddy Baker was the first driver to win the Big Four…Daytona, Talladega, Darlington and Charlotte. Most notably, he was the first driver to break the 200 mph barrier (Talladega, Ala, - Superspeedway, March 24, 1970). Baker also holds the record for the fastest average speed (177.6mph), which he set at the Daytona 500 in 1980.

Wisconsin native Jim Tretow is the Host and Executive Producer of America's longest running motorsports radio show: "The Racing Round Up Show" (1987-Present) which can be heard Monday nights on WAUK, 1510 AM in Milwaukee. He is also the `racing expert' called upon by the popular morning team of Bob & Brian on WLZR - Lazor 103 in Milwaukee, now also broadcast in Northeast Wisconsin on 105.7 WAPL - The Rockin' Apple. Tretow has gained remarkable insight to the sport through research and press access to local and major motorsports events. He plays off of his personal relationship with many area racers and bigger personalities in the sport to keep the show entertaining and insightful for faithful listening race fans.

The American Speed Association (ASA) will be holding practice sessions and Qualyfying from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday, June 8. Sunday, the Oneida Bingo & Casino ASA 300 begins at 11:00 a.m. with an hour-long autograph session. Racing action starts at 1:00 p.m.
