Plymouth, WI – In front of a standing room only grandstand, Campbellsport’s Billy Hafemann held on to win the EWSC Winged Super Modified A- Main. Don Singer, Waldo, took home the checkers in Limited Late Model action. Plymouth’s Don Kulow won the 20 lap Super Stock feature and Tyler Elias, Plymouth claimed the All-American Mighty 4 feature race.

After several cautions on the start of the 30 lap Super Mod A-Main, Hafemann took control of the race from the pole. The field was stopped on lap two when Oostburg’s Ben Schmidt spun in front of Paul Pokorski, West Bend, causing Pokorski to flip on his side and collect Kiel’s Robert Enders and Chuck Tuschl, Whitelaw. All four cars were retired to the pits for the night.

After getting the debris cleaned up, Hafemann set the pace until the caution came out again on lap five for the cars of Plymouth’s Tim Melis and KenJay Fiedler, Sheboygan Falls getting together. Both cars were able to continue.

The yellow flag came out for the last time on lap 15 for the ride of Plymouth’s Craig Perko spinning in turn four. Hafemann continued to lead until lap 25, when Glenbeulah’s Gary Laack was charging for the lead. Hafemann and Laack ran wing to wing for several laps until Laack pulled off the track in turn four with mechanical problems. Hafemann crossed the line in front of Melis, Fiedler, Brian Portschy, Oostburg, and Kiel’s Billy Kreutz.

Fast time went to Schmidt with a lap of 14.032 seconds and the Tuschl Septic Systems Hard Charger Award went to Tim McMullen, Plymouth, for passing 9 cars.

The 15 lap B-Main went green to checkered. Pokorski took the race by the reigns and never looked back. By lap six, Pokorski encountered lapped traffic and weaved his way through it while fending off a hard charge by Whitelaw’s Frank Geiger. Finishing behind Pokorski and Geiger were Enders, Kris Hansen, Manitowoc, and Matt VanWyk, Sheboygan Falls.

The 25 lap Limited Late Model feature left everyone on the edge of their seats. Fredonia’s Jason Allen took the lead from the start and encountered lapped traffic by lap six. Scott Haugstad, Plymouth, brought out the caution on laps 14 and 15, and was black flagged for the two spin rule. Getting things back underway, Allen continued to lead until he blew a tire and found himself sitting the wrong way on the front stretch. With no where to go, Campbellsport’s Rick Thompson hit Allen head on collecting Chad Espen, Kewaskum, and Kohler’s Mark Zimmermann.

With that altercation, Allen surrendered the lead to Singer. Singer was chased at the line by Dick Hed, Sheboygan Falls, Oostburg’s JJ Walvoord, Charlie Schmidt, Cedar Grove, and Plymouth’s Dan Dippel.

Fast time was set by Dave Haag, driving for the injured Howie Weiss, with a lap of 16.247 seconds and the Bob Akright Memorial Hard Charger Award was claimed by Dippel for passing 13 cars.

Abe Meinert, Elkhart Lake, took the early lead in the 20 lap Super Stock feature until turn four of the first lap when Meinert and Kewaskum’s Dave Holm got together causing Meinert to hand the lead over to Josh Gierke, Kiel.

Gierke and Plymouth’s Donny Kulow ran door to door for a circuit until Kulow took over control on lap three. The car of Mark Scholten, Oostburg, stopped on the front stretch, bringing out the caution. Rick Hed, driving for Dave Theobald, was chasing down Kulow and was knocking on the door on lap 12. Hed ran out of laps allowing Kulow to claim the checkered flag. Finishing behind Kulow was Hed, Plymouth’s Brian Kaat, Doug Teunissen, Sheboygan Falls, and Kiel’s Dean Horneck.

With a lap of 17.886 seconds, John Dirks, Elkhart Lake, set fast time and the Hard Charger Award went to Teunissen for passing 13 cars.

The 15 lap Super Stock semi feature was a race marred with mishaps. Plymouth’s Bob Otte, took the lead until lap two. That’s when the pack was slowed down for the first time for the cars of Mike Damrow, Sheboygan, and Mike TeStroete, Sheboygan, getting together.

Otte set the pace until lap five when the red flag came out for the ride of Sheboygan’s Chad Ninmer flipping on the backstretch. Otte handed the lead over to Kevin Zimball, driving for Terry McCoy, on lap four.

The caution came out on lap nine for Damrow losing control of his ride and spinning in turn two. The last caution of the race came on lap 11 for several cars getting together in turn four. Zimball held on to claim the victory followed by Elkhart Lake’s Paul Dirks, Otte, Scott Landgraf, Sheboygan, and Mike Damrow, Sheboygan.

The 15 lap All American Mighty 4 feature race saw Plymouth’s Tyler Elias take the lead. The yellow flag came out on lap two for debris in turn two. On the first lap of the restart, Tim Sauter, Plymouth, took the lead in turn four.

Fond du Lac’s Brian Stern spun on lap four bringing out the yellow. Getting the field set, the green waved again. Sauter slowed on lap seven handing the lead back over to Elias. One last caution came out on lap 11 for debris on the track. With the time limit now being reached, the race went green, white, checkered. Elias held on to the lead for the win followed by Randy Ostermann Jr., Howards Grove, Joe Krueger, Glenbeulah’s Jason Voss, and Jeremy Sauter, Sheboygan Falls.
