Dickmann Claims EWSC Limited Late Model Feature!
Pokorski Wins Mod B-Main!
Rain Wins All Other Features!

A rain shortened race night proved to be very successful
for several EWSC drivers. Henry Dickmann, Sheboygan, claimed the LLM feature after
winning his heat race. Winged Super Modified pilot, Paul Pokorski, pulled off a B-Main
win after winning his heat also.
Fredonia’s Jason Allen took the lead of the Limited Late Model Feature from the
pole. The field was slowed down on lap two for the ride of Steve Ziegelbauer,
Sheboygan, who spun in turn two. Getting things back underway, Allen paced the pack
until Dickmann took control on lap seven. Dickmann held on to the lead and crossed the
line ahead of Dick Hed, Sheboygan Falls, Kohler’s Mark Zimmermann, Keith Borth,
Sheboygan, and Oostburg’s JJ Walvoord.
Dan Dippel, Plymouth, set fast time with a new track record of 15.277
seconds and the Bob Akright Memorial Hard Charger award was claimed by Dippel for
passing 8 cars.
The Winged Super Modified B-Main went green to checkered. Pokorski shot out
to the lead from the pole. By lap seven, he found himself maneuvering through lapped
traffic. Chasing Pokoski to the checkered flag was Robert Enders, Campbellsport,
Plymouth’s Tim McMullen, Brian Portschy, Oostburg, and Waldo’s Lee Mohs.
A new track record was set by Gary Laack, Glenbeulah, with a lap time of 13.364
seconds.
Super Stock fast time was set by Doug Teunissen, Sheboygan Falls.
Rain moved in during the LLM feature. After all efforts to save the track were
exhausted, EWSC officials were forced to cancel the rest of the race program for the
night.
Racing resumes next Saturday night at the Sheboygan County Fair Park,
Plymouth, with qualifying beginning at 5:45 PM and racing set to follow. The race night
will be sponsored by WKTT radio and a special race will feature area clergy as the
drivers.
