Tisler Wins Marathon Feature At 141 Speedway
June 17, 2006

Dennis Rabas of Maribel led the opening laps of the Mid-American Sportsman feature at 141 Speedway Saturday night with Jimbo Schleis of Manitowoc in hot pursuit. These two battled until lap 10 when Daryl Gerke spun in turn 3 bringing out the caution.

On the restart, Jeff Tisler of Reedsville shot to the lead on the outside and began driving away from the field when the car driven by Daryl Gerke lost a motor oiling down the track and starting a parade of yellow flags and restarts that ended when Tisler finally crossed the finish line as the winner.

Rabas, Schleis, Monte Strouf and Don Wood rounded out the top five.

The Super Stock feature was dotted with caution flags, black flags and, as usual, a lot of bent sheet metal.

Randy Netting of Mosinee led the field from the drop of the green flag and led the field for the first nine laps when he was bumped from behind by Rick Wilhelm and spun on the backstetch. The yellow flag flew and both were sent to the back of the field.

On the restart, Jolene Gauger of Two Rivers took the lead and battled all the way to the finish with a charging Todd Welsing who pulled even on a couple of occasions. In the end, though, it was Gauger picking up her first win in a Super Stock.

Errol Berry of Francis Creek was third just ahead of Brian Stanelle of Morrison and Lee Lielpikowski of Green Bay.

Troy Sellner of Green Bay was fast qualifier in the Mini Stock division and won the feature event.

Sellner drove from a sixth place starting spot, took the lead on lap 18 and ran away from the field.

Jason Willadson of Sheboygan held off a charging Kurt Naidl for second with Eric Turner and Jordan Thiel rounding out the top 5.

Next week SuperCuts present the Mid-American Series cars for their first appearance of the year at 141. Tickets are just $10 for adult admission. Plus, a giant fireworks display.
