School Bus Races Top Enduro Finale At 141 Speedway

The 6 race Tisler Salvage Compact Car Enduro Series concludes this weekend at the 141 Speedway.  205 different drivers have raced in this season’s series and going into the final event, Dave Beyer of Two Rivers, is the point leader.  If he finishes 7th or better he’s guaranteed the championship.

However, 90 cars are pre-registered for the event and a full field 102 cars are expected to compete in the 300 lap contest this Saturday afternoon.

Only the top 20 cars are awarded points and survival is the key.  Should Beyer experience any difficulty, the 2nd and 3rd place cars of Mike Graziano of Port Washington and Frank Calabrese of Shiocton could win it all.  In addition to chasing Beyer, the two of them are battling each other for runner up and are separated by a mere one point!

After a champion is crowned in the Tisler Salvage Enduro series, it’ll be time for fun and games.  The two most popular events at the 141 Speedway are lined up back-to-back for the year end finale.  First, it’s the much awaited School Bus Races.  Full size school buses rubbing fenders and trading paint as if they were stock cars.  It doesn’t seem to bother the drivers one bit that these top heavy machines often end up on their sides!  Once the checkered flag flies and all buses are back on their wheels we cap the day with the Trailer Race of Destruction.  Full size stock cars each with a camper trailer or boat in tow.  Last man with a trailer wins!   It doesn’t take long to sort this one out.  10 laps is the longest trailer race in recent history.

All the action begins Saturday at 2 p.m.  For more information, visit www.141speedway.com
