Bresler Wins 300 Lapper At 141 Speedway
Cooler than normal temperatures didn't cool off the enthusiasm of the crowd at
141 Speedway Sunday night for round four of the Tisler Salvage Compact Car
Enduro race.
Kurt Naidl led the first ten laps of the three hundred lap affair but Mike
Meyerhofer of Harrison took the top spot away on lap eleven. Meyerhofer held
on until lap ninety seven when Mike Graziano charged into the lead and took
the field to lap 100 and the first mandatory yellow flag of the night.
On the restart, Graziano took the lead once again but would swap the spot
three times with Naidl. Todd Welsing was running in the third position but was
caught up in a turn three crash that damaged the steering on his car sending
him to the pits.
Graziano would again lead the field to the second mandatory yellow at lap two
hundred with Naidl second and Mike Bressler third.
Phase three began as had phase two with Graziano up front and Naidl second but
running one lap down. Bresler and Tom Plach were waging a close battle for
second four laps off of the leaders when both of the top two cars pitted on
lap two eighty three. This turn of events put Bresler into the lead half a lap
ahead of Plach. Naidl was able to return quickly but dropped to third.
Bresler had all of the cushion he needed at that point and cruised to an easy
victory. Plach would finish second and Naidl hung in for third.
Next Saturday night First National Bank of Manitowoc present the Rascal Outlaw
Winged Sprint cars along with the regular racing program at 141 Speedway.
There will also be a giant penny drop for all the kids at intermission. Time
trials start at 5:30 PM with racing at 7. For more information see their
